People are the greatest competitive asset! Fully utilizing and developing the knowledge, experience and passion of these resources is my ongoing opportunity and challenge. As an HR Director, a teammate, a college instructor and a mentor I utilize my experience and education to cultivate effective relationships, control expenses and develop programs with measurable results. I also constantly focus on opportunities to learn and progress my personal development/brand while improving the businesses/organizations I partner with.

I’m educated in mass communications and public administration, certified in human resources and management and practiced in managing and developing people. Formally, I have a masters degree; 12 years of corporate experience and 10 years of college instruction.

I’m currently the Director of HR for Hanon McKendry and Mindscape at Hanon McKendry in Grand Rapids, MI.  In addition, I facilitate management, HR and marketing classes that provide learning opportunities for my students and myself at Davenport University in Grand Rapids.
